Engaging & Creating Culture: a participatory installation (2017)
How do we humans, working together, create this rich world of art, culture and ritual? What makes a cultural tradition? This live participatory installation explored the origins of ritual movements and the creation of shared meaning, as well as explaining some of the science behind social-cultural behaviour.
We invited the public at Bloomsbury Festival to take part in making and breaking traditions to explore the science of social interaction, learning and innovation.
Myself, Elisa Nader and UCL neuroscientist Antonia Hamilton collaborated together to immerse audience in a personal encounter of current scientific research through performance, interaction and conversation.
